Guy Vernes
A Dutch street fashion house with whom I've been collaborating closely since it first came to life in 2007. Its owner being one of my oldest and most loyal friends, the brand has a special place in my heart, and I truly enjoy contributing and helping build the brand. Almost every visual outlet, with the exception of the product design, is my work. More specifically, I've worked on photoshoots, photo retouching, product visuals, print work, interaction and visual design, and did all front-end coding. But my individual tour de force has been designing, building and updating guyvernes.com over the years. A few years after finishing the award-winning original guyvernes.com, a flash site I designed and built while still in school, we felt like it needed an update, as times had changed both on the web and at the Guy Vernes HQ. Many months in the making, this was a project on which I had full creative control and was able to focus on every single detail, from the initial sketches to tweaking the javascript code the night before launch. Now fully html & compatible with mobile, with subtle parallax-effects & css3 animations, and more importantly, a fully functional webshop, guyvernes.com was ready for the new web. It was again awarded multiple times, among those being a feature on SiteInspire. This is one of the projects closest to me and one of who I'm most proud.Credits
