22tracks
22tracks is a popular Dutch music service that originally started here in Amsterdam. The site (and app) is based around playlists of different genres, each filled with 22 songs selected by leading DJ's from various big cities around Europe. Because of this, 22tracks quickly overviews popular tracks and guarantees a certain amount of genre-expertise and quality in their music-selection, allowing users to discover the latest and best music across different genres. This focus on curating music is unique, a refreshing new take on online music in a world where all songs are available to us at all times. As a fan and avid user of the site, I loved the concept. But, since the site was running on flash at that time and lacking a bit on the design end, I felt like it could do with an update. After showing a few initial comps, the 22tracks team responded very excited and we officially started our collaboration. In the following months, the site got a complete design overhaul. A lot of new functionality was added and the site ended up being more clean, more usable, and now fully HTML5 based. After succesfully launching the updated version of 22tracks.com, I was invited to join the team again to work on the UI design for their iPhone and Android app.Credits
